Wayfaring Stranger is a traditional appalachian folk song.....possibly written by the "black dutch" or melungeon people in the 1700's. Psalm 84:10 is added at the end. This was performed live in 2005 at Joe's in Wilmington Ohio.
lyrics
i'm just a poor wayfaring stranger
traveling through this world of war
ain't no sickness, toil, nor danger
in that bright land i'm headed for
i'm going there to see my Father
says He'll meet me when i come
i'm only going over jordan
i'm only going over home
i'll soon be done with earthly trials
my body asleep in the ol church yard
i'll drop this cross of self denial
and be on my way to God
i'm going there to see my Savior
says He'll meet me when i go
i'm only going over jordan
i'm only going over Home
better is one day in Your House than a thousand elsewhere

Once again RAIJ manage to break my heart, toy with the pieces, bare them to my face and then put them all back together again. I really wish they wouldn't do that. vykr
